Amanda says: This experience in Urbino has been something that I will never forget. I never expected to form such strong relationships with the locals around the town. The bond that I formed with the students and the expertise that I received from the outstanding faculty are just some of the things that I will be able to carry with me for the rest of my life. Before coming to this program, I would’ve never thought that I would’ve been able to enter a danger zone in an area where an earthquake completely destroyed the center of a town. Furthermore, the opportunities that this program has given me have further prepared me for my future journalistic endeavors. This program has not only challenged me in many ways, but it has taught me so many lessons that will forever be engrained in my mind. Jaysha says: My experience this summer is something I will value for the rest of my life. Not only was I able to build connections and learn from media industry professionals, I have also gained valuable reporting experience while making unforgettable memories. I was able to go into a danger zone to report about the earthquake damage in Camerino, Italy. This is something I never imagined doing at the age of 20. My experience here in Italy is something I will forever be grateful for.
