Before beginning my wanderings in Urbino, I was hesitant and anxious to immerse myself in a brand-new culture. I, a learning journalist, was scared to become vulnerable. Once I stepped off the bus in Urbino, I felt at home. My skills and my passions have been put to the test since the first day of this trip. I have never quite experienced anything like this program, and I am so thankful for it. The culture, the people and the adventures I experienced while in Italy are many that I will hold close to my heart. I gained a greater sense of who I am as a journalist and what is important to me in this short month. I have fallen in love with the quaint town of Urbino and the memories I have made here. As we say our goodbyes to the people and this town, I will leave a part of me here, planning my next visit and my next adventure.
Bosom Pub has been a staple in Urbino since Stephano Galli opened it in 1985. This cultural melting pot has always allowed students of all nationalities to be a part of one accepting community, at least for a few hours each night. Which begs the question: What makes this pub so special?
